Director Mitsumasa Saito melds time travel with wartime adventure in this absorbing action movie starring Sonny Chiba. Instead of being locked in battle during World War II, a Japanese army platoon finds itself transported back to the samurai era. In this epoch, however, they must learn about the traditional ways of life and must master wielding swords rather than guns to survive the onslaught of their fierce and furious enemies.
