When his bullying father (Iain Glen) is diagnosed with lung cancer, 11-year-old Newcastle lad Jimmy Spud (Sean Landless) comes to believe that his only chance of saving his dad's life is to become an angel … and he gets help in the form of real-life archangel Gabriel (Billy Connolly). But the impulsive Jimmy has a lot to learn before he can earn his wings and save his father in this heart-warmer from the writer of Billy Elliot.
