Gargoyles

Made for television, this monster-horror-thriller begins with anthropologist Dr. Mercer Boley (Cornel Wilde) and his daughter Diana (Jennifer Salt) digging up an unusual skeleton in the Mexican desert. Unwisely, the two take their find to the lab for further examination. But a flock of flying gargoyles devastate the surrounding town in their attempts to recover the skeleton. Stan Winston designed the Emmy-winning special effects.
