Fans of the 1970s anime series "Battle of the Planets" will find this 1990s version irresistible, as it melds modernized characters with the original show's design to create an experience that's at once nostalgic and completely fresh. In this trio of episodes, the avian-costumed Gatchaman -- Ken, Joe, June, Jinpei and Ryu -- and their mighty spaceship, the Phoenix, must save the world from the alien race Galactor.
