Gene Autry plays an expert postal inspector brought in to assist Smiley Burnette in tracking down the culprit in a chain of mail robberies. All signs point to Big Jim Lassiter (Thurston Hall) as the guilty party, and when Lassiter's associate, Wade Trimble (Harry Lauter), confirms Autry's suspicions and implicates him in other crimes as well, all that's left to do is round up Big Jim and drive him out of town. Easier said than done!
