Paying close attention to period detail and historical accuracy, he-man action specialist Walter Hill (The Long Riders) directs this traditional Western recounting famed Apache warrior Geronimo's losing battle with the U.S. Army in the late-1800s Southwest. Wes Studi has the title role; Jason Patric, Gene Hackman and Robert Duvall co-star, with Matt Damon playing a young Army observer in one of his first prominent roles.
