Getting Gertie's Garter

Adapted from a play by Wilson Collison and directed by the prolific Allan Dwan (Brewster's Millions, Suez), this romantic comedy features Dennis O'Keefe as a newly married man who suddenly realizes that a gift to a former girlfriend (Marie McDonald) could jeopardize his relationship with his suspicious new wife (Sheila Ryan). During a weekend getaway, he goes to great lengths to get the jewel-encrusted garter back without anyone finding out.
