When their well-to-do jeweler father (Shreeram Lagoo) is unfairly implicated in the theft of some priceless diamonds, his sons deal with the family misfortune in radically different ways. Vijay (Rishi Kapoor) takes a job at a newspaper, where he forsakes his true love for the boss's wealthy daughter. Meanwhile, brother Ravi (Govinda) gets cozy with the daughter of the gangster who framed his father.
