Two young filmmakers (Jason Lively, Tim McDaniel) are struggling to come up with the money to finance their horror flick when one of them (Lively) discovers he's inherited a small fortune in the form of an antique grandfather clock. The inheritance, however, turns out to be not quite what the boys expected, leading them on a wild journey with a midget alien. Roland Emmerich, who went on to make The Patriot and The Day After Tomorrow, directed.
