When the East Side Kids -- Glimpy (Huntz Hall), Mugs (Leo Gorcey), Danny (Bobby Jordan) and Scruno (Ernest Morrison) -- go to spruce up a fixer-upper for Glimpy's newlywed sister (Ava Gardner), the gang stumbles upon the haunted house next door. But there's something more sinister about its occupant, Emil (Bela Lugosi). This 1943 comedy-horror features Gardner in one of her earliest roles on her way to stardom.
