Groundbreaking Japanese New Wave director Yasuko Masumura helms this satirical critique of the corporate culture in postwar Japan. When the competition between three rival candy companies becomes cutthroat, World Caramels finds a poor girl with horribly bad teeth as their new spokesperson.
