Living hand to mouth, an aspiring actress (Theresa Randle) trying to make it in New York becomes a phone-sex operator to pay the bills. Little does she know that her new anonymous identity (and myriad alter egos) will challenge her range as an actress … opening up a few doors in the process. Isaiah Washington, Jenifer Lewis, Debi Mazar and Spike Lee (who also directs) co-star in this fast, fresh comedy dotted with celebrity cameos.
