Set in 1960s Italy, this is the story of Aida (Claudia Cardinale), a stunning but innocent lounge singer who's had terrible luck with men -- until she encounters Lorenzo (Jacques Perrin), who's unlike any man she's ever met. Bad luck follows, however, when Aida learns that Lorenzo is the 16-year-old cousin of her immature ex-boyfriend. Lorenzo's family will do anything to keep the couple apart, but can they stop true love?
