Four comically mismatched women -- writer Amanda (Dawn French), aspiring starlet Shelley (Ruby Wax), dimwitted Jennifer (Jennifer Saunders) and firecracker Candice (Tracey Ullman) -- must learn to cohabitate in a tiny London flat without driving each other batty. In the first set of this comedy series, Shelley eyes the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art, Amanda gets into Spare Cheeks and Candice romances a Latin lover.
