Frank Augustyn partners with Karen Kain in this stirring studio production of Adolphe Adam's "Giselle," performed by the National Ballet of Canada in 1976 and set against a lush backdrop of intricately detailed sets. Giselle goes mad with grief upon discovering that the commoner she fell in love with is actually a nobleman who's engaged to the duke's daughter. Yet even from the grave, Giselle has the power to save the man who broke her heart.
