Scratching out a life years after a global apocalypse destroys civilization, childlike survivors Glen and Randa (Steve Curry and Shelley Plimpton) set out to find the mighty metropolis they see depicted in an old comic book. Along the way, they encounter other survivors who ply them with tales of the bygone world and a strange conjuror whose "magic" includes playing old Rolling Stones albums. Jim McBride directs this atmospheric sci-fi drama.
