Situated on the west coast, California is the most populous state in America. From the gold rushes of the 1800s to the Hollywood of today, it has long been the land where dreams are made. Traveler Justine Shapiro begins in Palm Springs, a sparkling oasis in the desert. From there she travels to Los Angeles and tours the Hollywood Hills. Heading north she continues to beautiful Big Sur before leaving the coast for the Sierra Nevada Mountains.
