After locating her runaway daughter, Rachel (Orli Perl), mother Liz (Razia Israeli) is told a story by Rachel's bedouin lover, Mustafa (Sami Samir). He recalls a tale from his youth about Leila, a free-spirited woman who fell in love with the bedouin Najim. Najim's father opposed the union, ultimately resulting in Leila's forced circumcision. Mustafa's story shakes Liz to the core, forcing mother and daughter to confront a long-hidden secret.
