Mabel and Tom are an upper-class African-American couple in the 1970s who discover racism literally in their own backyard. After Tom is promoted at his law firm, they move their family to an all-white neighborhood where they are clearly not welcome. What happens next is a testament to the force of willpower and the human spirit in this comedy starring Whoopi Goldberg and Danny Glover, and co-produced by Spike Lee.
