The first season of this beloved sitcom tackles the goings-on in Hooterville, a rural farming community whose oddball residents comically clash with the arrival of New Yorkers Oliver Wendell Douglas (Eddie Albert) and his wife, Lisa (Eva Gabor). Oliver is happy to leave his career as a lawyer in the city to live the slow life, but Lisa and her extravagant outfits never seem to fit in on the farm in this spinoff of the comedy Petticoat Junction.
