Freewheeling med student Joe (Matthew Modine) enrolls in the toughest course in the curriculum: gross anatomy. His irreverent style clashes with everything, including his ambitious lab partner, Laurie (Daphne Zuniga), who won't let Joe's love for her interfere with her plans. Ultimately, though, he must pass muster with demanding professor Dr. Woodruff (Christine Lahti) in director Thom Eberhardt's comedic romantic drama.
