The beautiful Roshni (Sridevi) has led a restricted and fatherless childhood, but finally gets the chance to blossom when the charming Rahul (Rahul Roy) discovers her singing talent and helps her become a star. Roshni soon attracts the attention of Jagganath (Sanjay Dutt), a black-marketeer who becomes an unlikely fan of hers and begins to follow her everywhere. It won't take long for Roshni to discover that fame can have a downside.
