Things turn out a little differently for Kira and Rey at the Battle of Messiah in this revised version of the anime series' final episode, which features an extended battle scene, an alternate ending, a series epilogue and more. In the alternate ending, the fates of many key characters who manage to make it through the chaos of the Second Bloody Valentine War are revealed.
