Writer-director Josh Kornbluth hits the comic bull's-eye with this disarmingly droll observation of office politics and the realm of corporate slaves, finding humor in everything from convoluted computer systems to pilfered office supplies. Kornbluth plays a law-firm temp whose promotion to permanent status triggers an existential moment of truth. The film's ensemble cast includes Helen Shumaker as the bossy head secretary.
