After her millionaire father passes away, Sita (Jayapradha) takes control of his vast empire, which includes several mills. Sita falls in love with and marries mill worker and union leader Ram (Jeetendra), but their jobs soon get in the way of their relationship. Dedicated to the cause of workers' rights on the one hand but devoted to his wife (who's also his boss) on the other, Ram must decide where his loyalty lies.
