Laid-back constable Hamish Macbeth (Robert Carlyle) uses creative tactics to maintain order in a remote Scottish hamlet in this quirky BBC dramedy's' debut season. Lochdubh's close-knit citizens follow their own laws, forcing Macbeth to dispense with the rules. However, he has to hide his infractions from his superiors to keep his job and remain in the idyllic Scottish highlands with his beloved terrier, Wee Jock.
