After traveling to Villisca, Iowa, where eight people were brutally butchered in bed in 1912, troubled professor David Salt (director James Serpento) becomes drawn into the dark world that ripped the town apart at the time of the still-unsolved murders. Drawing on true events, this suspenseful mystery explores the killings as Salt attempts to atone for the guilty secrets he carries from his own past.
