Ballet star Jacques d'Amboise, founder of the National Dance Institute, teaches children the art of dance at 14 New York City schools. This Oscar-winning documentary follows the children's experiences, from classes and auditions to a special annual dance event held at Madison Square Garden. Singer Judy Collins, actor Kevin Kline and dancers Chita Rivera and Peter Gennaro pitch in and perform with the kids at the climactic event.
