It's director Blake Edwards's Victor/Victoria -- Chinese style! Tomboy Lam (Anita Yuen) is so obsessed with pop music diva Rose (Carina Lau) that she disguises herself as a man to meet her idol at a singing audition. There, Lam also meets Sam (Leslie Cheung), Rose's producer-boyfriend, who signs the talentless "boy" to a recording contract. Before long, both Rose and Sam find themselves falling for Lam!
