After her mother dies in a tragic accident, teenage Amy (Amber Marshall) is determined to follow in her mom's footsteps by healing abused horses at Heartland, the bucolic family ranch nestled in the foothills of the Canadian Rockies. When the ranch falls into debt, city girl Lou (Michelle Morgan) joins younger sis Amy to help their grandfather (Shaun Johnston) keep the family's legacy alive. Graham Wardle co-stars as Ty, a handsome stable hand.
