In a small rural town, two young lovers, Heera and Asha, plan to be married. But when a murder is committed, the evidence leads authorities to Heera. Ripped from Asha's arms, Heera is tried, convicted and sentenced to death. Intent on proving his innocence, Heera escapes from prison to hunt down the killer. Shatrughan Sinha and Sunil Dutt co-star in director Sultan Ahhmed's crime drama about the tortured journey of a wrongly convicted man.
