In the sleepy town of Ludlow, a stranger arrives at the exact moment a wave of gruesome murders occurs. The killings flood Alice (Lyndie Uphill) with the memory of her own son's death five years ago. Consumed with the need to find her son's killer, she persuades a n'er-do-well detective (Dominique Pinon) to work on the case and uncover the truth before another murder occurs.
