The first of director John Woo's Hong Kong features to get much international distribution, this film is set in the jungles of Burma and Cambodia. Thailand authorities hire a Special Ops team headed by a top mercenary (Eddy Ko) and his son to capture and bring back a notorious Vietnamese drug kingpin. The film includes vivid and sometimes grisly action in the Woo tradition. Woo also wrote the screenplay.
