Desperate people deal with the Great Depression in any way they can in this pair of provocative Hollywood dramas from the 1930s. First, in Heroes for Sale, a wounded war veteran turned morphine addict (Richard Barthelmess) desperately tries to find work. Loretta Young co-stars. Then, in Wild Boys of the Road, two teenage boys hop on a series of freight trains in an effort to get to New York and find work after their dads lose their jobs.
