A thought-provoking documentary, High Tech Soul traces the roots of techno music and, surprisingly, finds its early beginnings in Detroit, a city better known for its ties to the auto industry. Techno originators Juan Atkins, Derrick May and Kevin Saunderson appear on-camera, along with other artists, to discuss the culture that created one of the most interesting new sounds in music.
