Re-edited by director Russell Mulcahy, this sequel to the cult sci-fi action film largely discards the original's premise of mysterious immortal swordsmen, revealing Connor MacLeod (Christopher Lambert) and Juan Sanchez Villa-Lobo Ramirez (Sean Connery) to be long-lived aliens. Reunited, the pair now battle an evil corporate cartel bent on dominating an ozone-depleted Earth's dwindling natural resources.
