On Feb. 19, 1944, saboteurs skulked aboard the moored Norwegian ferryboat Hydro -- believed to be carrying barrels of deuterium oxide (heavy water) bound for Nazi Germany -- and planted a time bomb. This installment of "Nova" explores the aftermath. Researchers plumb the depths of Norway's Lake Tinn to answer a long-debated question: Did the demolition of that vessel sink Adolf Hitler's secret nuclear plans?
