Struggling to find his identity, Denis Byrd (Keith Gordon) enlists in a course called Star Therapy, led by an eccentric professor named Dr. Tuttle (Kirk Douglas) who encourages his students to videotape their lives and make themselves the stars of their own existence. Directed by Brian De Palma, this oddball comedy is almost prophetic, in light of the boom of reality-based TV shows that are built around the lives of ordinary citizens.
