When their mentally ill mother (Anna Louise Richardson) abandons them, a band of forlorn children (Kimberlee Peterson, Trever O'Brien, Hanna R. Hall and William Greenblatt) seek out their long-lost grandmother Abigail (Academy Award winner Anne Bancroft), a relative they've never even met. But because she's lived most of her life as a hermit, Abigail's reluctant to take them in. This heartwarming drama is based on the novel by Cynthia Voight.
