In Season 5 of this gritty cop drama, two new members -- narcotics detective Teri Stivers (Toni Lewis) and medical examiner Julianna Cox (Michelle Forbes) -- join the group of Baltimore detectives assigned to some of the city's most incredibly gruesome and brutal homicide cases. The series was adapted from the book by Barry Levinson, and the spellbinding story lines were brought to the small screen by Barry Levinson and Tom Fontana.
