In this quintet of Hopalong Cassidy films, we find Hopalong (William Boyd) doing his habitual best to save the day. In Border Patrol, Hopalong solves a mine owner's murder; Doomed Caravan finds a wagon train taken over by a phony cavalry; Hopalong helps out an old friend in Fool's Gold; a corrupt sheriff faces off with Hopalong in Forty Thieves; and Hopalong must save the town from traveling gunmen in Hidden Gold.
