In this entertaining and often hilarious docudramedy, a pair of urban filmmakers task themselves with turning unskilled white boy JP McLean into a straight-up gangsta and master of the microphone. But first he's got to put down the acoustic guitar. The film moves from the rap clubs of Watts, Calif., to the strip clubs of Los Angeles to McLean's family home in Florida as JP learns to rap, pimp, shoot and style like a true playa.
