Anthony Perkins, star of Alfred Hitchcock's Psycho, takes on another role of creepy proportions in this haunting, gothic film about a hysterically blind man (Perkins) suffering under the strain of his ruthless and cruel sister (Julie Harris), who's taken advantage of the enormous guilt he feels for causing their father's death in a fire. Soon, though, his sanity collapses, giving rise to a deadly confrontation between him and his sibling.
