Hue and Cry

When they discover that their favorite comic book is being used by a gang of crooks (led by Jack Warner) to pass coded messages to each other, a group of young East Enders bands together with the book's author (Alastair Sim) to foil the criminal plots. Regarded as the first of the famed "Ealing Comedies," director Charles Crichton's 1947 film is noted for featuring several London locations ravaged by World War II bombings.
