The families of Angaarchand (Amrish Puri) and Lakshmidevi (Lakshmi) have been feuding for years. When Angaarchand's youngest son, Jai (Akshaye Khanna), and Lakshmidevi's granddaughter, Anjali (Kareena Kapoor), enroll at the same college, the game of revenge begins in earnest. Jai and Anjali each pretend to fall in love to deceive the other, but matters get sticky after their feigned feelings become genuine in this rib-tickling comedy.
