Gopal (Shah Rukh Khan) has always pined for Radha (Madhuri Dixit), and his life seems completely blissful when they finally get married. But things start to turn sour when Radha begins to obsess about her jobless brother and, particularly, the career of her singer friend, Suraj. Ripped apart by an all-consuming jealousy, Gopal banishes his new wife back to her parents. Can the rift ever be mended?
