The brutal rape and murder of a young girl sets off an investigation led by Pharaon De Winter (Emmanuel Schotté), a slow-witted police superintendent who still lives with his mother. During the course of the investigation, De Winter becomes so sensitized to the suffering around him that he's unable to filter out anything. Director Bruno Dumont also penned the script to this introspective drama.
