Uma Thurman won a Golden Globe for her searing performance as Debby in this Mira Nair film. Debby's a New Jersey woman longing to find someone who'll see how special she truly is, even if she's blind to her own worth. She and her friend Beth (Juliette Lewis), a single mother, navigate the singles scene and discover that love never quite turns out the way it does in songs and movies. Gena Rowlands and Ben Gazzara also star.
