Struggling actor Matt Hobbs (Nick Nolte) must come to grips with his priorities and career when he's saddled with the full responsibility of raising his young daughter, Jeannie (Whittni Wright), after his estranged wife, Beth (Tracey Ullman), heads to prison. Joely Richardson co-stars as Cathy Breslow, a movie executive who just might be able to help Matt cope. James L. Brooks (As Good As It Gets) writes and directs this comedy.
