Captured and imprisoned while leading an ill-fated raid behind enemy lines, British commando Eric Newby (Callum Blue) escapes and is taken in by a pretty Italian (Barbora Bobulova) and her family, who teach him the language to help him elude his Nazi pursuers. A true story of courage, determination and love, this superb made-for-TV drama is based on Newby's autobiographical novel about his mission in World War II Italy.
